Custom retrofits of narrow keys have become more popular since the year 2000. There are now hundreds of people all over the world with stretto pianos that were retrofitted with narrower replacement keyboards.
Reyburn Pianoworks, based in the USA, has built hundreds of replacement keyboards. Reyburn will make any size key you desire, within technical reason and integrity, to replace your 6.5-inch octave keys with narrow ones. At an additional cost, they will create a complete action with your stretto keys, so that your piano is convertible. It will have two interchangeable keyboards. This way, your piano can be played comfortably by both large and small hands.

For schools and institutions
We are happy to refer learning institutions to the DS Foundation. This organization will loan schools a DS 6.0 or DS 5.5 keyboard for a year. Payment is required after the loan period only if the school keeps the keyboard.
Please contact us to discuss these options.
