Founded in New York City in 1853, Steinway has historic factories in Long Island City, Queens, and Hamburg, Germany (1880). The great Polish virtuoso, Josef Hofmann (1876-1957), played Steinway pianos with narrow keys in the USA, an inspiration to The Piano Strettosphere. Steinway pianos are built to last, enjoyed for generations, and are known for their lovely singing tone, power, and global popularity.

Our 1900 American Model C (7’4”), rebuilt with a second narrower 6.0 keyboard, is the concert and showroom model you can play in New York to experience narrow keys. If you have small hands and issues with stretchy pieces, your practice time will be cut in half. Stretches and jumps are organic and easy with this instrument. Pianists with small hands experience pure enjoyment and expressive pleasure without strain or compromising the written score. Everyone loves playing our Steinway, and we invite you to play it, too!
